An explanation of why I choose the brief

I chose to do the print brief rather than the video because I enjoyed using the hardware and software involved with the print preliminary tasks. I also work better independently because I can work at my own pace and do work to my own satisfaction. By creating a music magazine I can work independently in and out of school time whether it be in class or at home I hope to work and achieve a professional product on my own.

I particularly enjoyed using Adobe Photoshop CS4 in my preliminary as this was a new piece of software to me and I had never used it before. I also enjoyed using a still image camera to take a realistic picture for my magazine. I hope to take more professional and more realistic pictures this time.

Although I was tempted to do the video task rather than the print, I prefer to work independently as it proved trouble when we worked as a group for the preliminary video. This spurred me to work on my own this time, as it is unneeded hassle forcing other people in my group to participate and meet up to film. In this task I hope to improve my finished product by taking more time and care on creating my magazine to end up with a more professional end product. I hope to be able to use software and hardware more confidently and work hard end up with a realistic professional Drum & Bass music magazine.
